Unearthing me

There was a time when I believed life was happening to me — that fulfilment lived in people, places, and things.
On the outside, I was thriving: co-running a successful design agency, busy, driven, achieving.
But beneath it all, I was quietly unravelling.

I was highly functioning, but I was using anything I could to escape what I hadn’t yet faced — overworking, drinking, drugs, parties.
The saying “burning the candle at both ends” wasn’t a metaphor — it was how I lived.

I became an expert at making others comfortable — often at my own expense.
Fawning became second nature. I kept the peace, avoided conflict, and shape-shifted to stay safe.
I betrayed myself by keeping the people-pleasing I’d learned as a child alive — without even realising it.

It looked like care, generosity, strength.
But underneath, it was fear — the kind that says: don’t be too much, don’t need too much, don’t take up space.
And over time, I lost sight of where I ended and others began.

It was messy. Uncomfortable.
But when I stopped chasing closure, stopped blaming myself for the ways others had treated me — I began to see more clearly.
To see myself in a new light.
To be more honest.
About my needs.
About my truth.

And then came the whisper.
“Enough, Sarah. There is another way.”

I listened. I followed. And slowly, I began to unearth myself.

With the guidance of skilled teachers and deep inner work, I came to see I wasn’t broken — I was carrying pain I hadn’t been taught how to hold.
I realised I had a choice: to keep surviving, or to finally begin living.

This is the work that changed and continues to change — everything.

And it’s the path I now walk others through.

Why Work with me

In 2004, I co-founded one of London’s leading female-led design agencies.
It taught me everything about people, pressure, and performance — and revealed a deeper truth: people hide behind smiles and masks.
I was one of them — outwardly successful, inwardly disconnected.

Then life kicked my butt.
A painful relationship ending, deep dissatisfaction with how I was showing up, and eventually, full-blown burnout.
That’s when I chose to change everything — not from the outside in, but from the inside out.
I turned toward the work that had changed me.
Not just to heal — but to become a safe, skilled space-holder for others ready to do the same.

This isn’t about surface-level self-improvement.
It’s about waking up from the autopilot of survival.
Clearing the noise.
Remembering who you are.
And learning to live from that place — fully and unapologetically.

Unearthyou is the integration of everything I’ve lived, studied, and practised.
It’s a unique blend of Human-Centred Transformational Coaching, BodyMind Maturation, Internal Family Systems, Positive Intelligence, and trauma-informed somatic work.
At its heart is maturation — the lifelong process of outgrowing the patterns that once kept us safe, so we can live from who we truly are.

I’ve been immersed in this work for over 20 years — both in my own healing and in walking alongside others in theirs.
I bring a warm, grounded presence, backed by science-based methods and lived experience.
Together, we go to the roots — beyond the past, beyond the patterns — into true inner shift.

I’m an ICF-certified coach, transformational mentor, and teacher, specialising in human behaviour and trauma integration.
My training includes CBT, Ontology, Trauma Regression, Narrative Transformation, Five Elements Healing, Internal Family Parts Work, Mindfulness, Somatic Healing, and Breathwork — all held within a trauma-informed lens.

But more than credentials, what I offer is this:
Embodied understanding.
Depth without judgement.
And unwavering support as you walk home to yourself.

As one of my teachers, Dr David Norris, says:
“We don’t really get older — we just get taller. Maturation is outgrowing who you think you are to become who you truly are.”

This is the work.
